I have a newly made Milanaese bracelet for my Vostok. Since I now this were common early in the wrist watch industry I post this question on this forum:

Is it common that the band itself is a little slimmer than the fitting cylinder between the lugs? Mine is 18mm but the band is actually 16mm.

If common, then why?

Hi -

Are you sure that the band isn't the wrong size? Being off by a small amount is not unusual - otherwise you can have metal rubbing on metal, never a really good idea - but being off a full 2mm sounds more like the band is the wrong size for the watch.
