I've got my Promaster automatic some months ago from a good offer, but it was with the rubber strap. I'm not very fan of rubber straps (although I have to admit that the Promaster's strap, with the decompression chart, is very iconic).
I was looking for the original bracelet, but I think is very expensive compared to the price of the full watch (I found it for more than 100$!). A friend recommended me a much cheaper aftermarket Oyster-type armis from an eBay seller so I bought it. Here is the result:

Before:

After:

In my opinion, it has been definitely worthy. It feels very nice and comfortable. The end-links are maybe the only part that looks quite "cheap", but I can't have complains for 30$

The endless search for a decent bracelet for this watch ;-) Its a pity Citizen didnt make one with solid end links - Im sure they would sell a shed load.

Congratulations on finding a solution that suits you :-!

Over the years I have tried a number of straps - rubber , canvas etc for this watch - ironically considering the difficulty in getting a good bracelet for the watch it is a strap monster compared to other divers IMO

Still at some point you want steel - I went with a strapcode straight end link for mine

Not sure if it looks that great with the gaps -I wasnt sure what bothered me more - folded end links or the gap - I decided it was folded end links and if straight end inks are good enough for the Tudor Ranger :) - However for most of the time it lives on the Borealis rubber strap which I think looks and feels better than the original waffle strap.

It doesn't look bad at all with this bracelet. It reminds me a vintage Tudor too.

Thanks Sticky but its actually on the roof of my car!

It needs a wash but I must have polished and waxed it enough that it still reflects like water :)
