Tudor Prince Oysterdate –.What to look for...

I really like the look of the Tudor Prince Oysterdate that has split roman/arabic numerals. There are a few on eBay for reasonable prices (1) (2). I'm just not familiar with Tudor so I'm not sure what to look for to know if they're legit.

I'm also curious if the second hand hacks or sweeps. Actually any info on the movement would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Re: Tudor Prince Oysterdate –.What to look for...

I can't tell you if it's real or not. Tudor has produced some Rangers with a california dial. The picture is too small. What I can tell you is that Tudor watches use ETA mouvements "improved" by Rolex / Tudor. This one is propably an ETA 2824. This means that like all 4hz movements (28.800) the hand should be sweeping.

But given that there are plenty of copied ETA movements produced in China, it becomes key to buy such watches from trustful vendors, to have HD pictures of them : case, buckle, bracelet, dial, hands, serial number, papers ... best to get them checked by an AD
