Thats so cool! Care to give a bit more detail on how you got the older one and its history?
Yep, I acquired the watch recently from a renowned Blancpain expert, book author, and watch dealer. He acquired the watch at auction in 2020 and then in November 2021 had Blancpain do a complete service. Here are a few pages from their official "Vintage Service Report":

Why does the TR660's seconds and minute hand not extend all the way to the edge of the outer tick mark the way the vintage one does? Is this an oversight by MKII? Will this be corrected in the future?

Very nice! The vintage service report is awesome! I had the good fortune to own a TR from 2001-2005 but I will confess I wore it very rarely, maybe a dozen times. I had in that same period of time a Comex SD which was never worn even once. Back then they were $10k each and I just did not want to risk them, I could not imagine wearing one today with 10 times that value in them. My pics of my TR made it into a Mil Watch calendar, the Comex never hardly left the safe.

You know what is really crazy, if you look at and old US Divers catalog from the 60’s they were selling Blancpain Fifty Fathoms along with Doxa sub 300’s. The Doxa was more expensive than the FF. Now the Doxa sub300 in pristine condition won’t fetch 5K the FF probably 50k!
You have a beautiful example of the vintage TR’s

It would be nice to have enough money to be able to wear watches like your TR and Comex whenever you wanted, just to be able to enjoy those wonderful old watches.

An even crazier example are the issued CWC quartz divers, in 2000 you could pick up a nice example for $300 now they are $2k+. No way to predict that at all.
