Hey guys. I'm looking for a colorful watch to replace my Citizen which is a bit heavy.

SPECS:
  • Weight under 55g with strap / 75g with bracelet. (Basically I want the case alone to be under 40g)
  • Max 44mm lug to lug.
  • Quartz is fine.
  • Ideally under 200 bucks but i'd consider saving up.

STYLE:
Any suggestions welcome but this might give you a rough idea of what I might like:
  • I like vintagy designs like the Seiko Presage with the big crown, arrowhead markers and swirly dial. (But the lugs are too long)
  • Or more futuristic/angular designs like Phoibos/RZE (both too big/heavy).
  • Dial in blue/red/green/purple?

Thanks!

(My watches. I love the Seiko but the Casio feels cheap and the Citizen is too big. I've got two titanium watches in my cart but neither one has any color.)

SWC Ark
38mm case
45mm lug to lug
20mm lug width

Titanium case with hardening coating to 1000 vickers, screw down crown, 20 layers of X1 grade Super-LumiNova, 8.5mm thickness, drilled lugs, Ronda 6004.D movement, and a full 16 layers of AR coating on the sapphire crystal. The ARK leaves little to be desired in a field watch weighing in at just 34 grams.

If you need the weight of the watch including the bracelet to be less than 75g, you're looking at a titanium bracelet as well. $200 for a fully titanium combination isn't that common, taking into account that you want a colourful dial and the whole should be less than 75g. Those are some pretty strict parameters. :)

There's some fully titanium Lorus watches out there for around €100, though. Nothing spectacular, but at least they're light.

Check out Boccia as well. Some of their models have a bit of a military vibe. Nothing too colourful, alas, but if you look hard enough and skip the bracelet, you bump into something that might fit the bill:

Yeah that's a nice one thank you.

Thanks. I tried but it's very hard to figure anything out from Google. The results are messy and mostly of spammy websites. not much on ebay either.

If anyone knows specific ones to look for I'd appreciate it.
Sorry for the confusion. Citizen watches are widely available and there's no need for a specific recommendation because Citizen makes so many titanium quartz watches, which is why I made such a general recommendation.

I would suggest looking on Amazon or your local department store. Creationwatches, Skywatches, or Jomashop are commonly used grey market dealers here, but you will need to be careful and know what do expect when dealing with Frey market dealers. I have recently purchased from relojesdemoda.com from Spain and the purchase went smoothly. Try Sakurawatches.com for Japanese only models.

For specific recommendations, BM8560 comes under your budget, is titanium, and has many color options. AW1650 as well.

I don't know if a field watch might work, but Bertucci makes several in titanium, and a few in aluminum as well. (I know you don't want plastic, but they also do resin.) They seem reasonably priced. Here's the inventory at Long Island Watch:

By the way, I love titanium Citizens. I have two, and have owed another. They are fantastic, but if you want small lug-to-lug the recent US models will probably be too big for your tastes. However, I think you should look into them anyway because they're usually fairly thin, which, combined with their light weight, makes them very wearable IMO. I have a 6.75" wrist and, to my surprise, actually have no trouble wearing my Citizen 44mm diver with a 49mm lug-to-lug. It's light, and only 12mm thick. These are my current ti Citizens:
