One of my dearest friends is a SF guy. He wears his Suunto on the inside.

He tells me that because of the advances in encrypted communication gear, very rarely do they rely on watches any more for the old "synch your watches" kind of thing.

:) but you dont want to be late for PT!

Digital watches are watches for truely rational thinkers, like these smart guys! No frills function over form and great at what it does. :-!

Have to say, I had an auto and analog kinetic but quartz digital - can't get more accurate or reliable than that :). A bit harder to read, especially in the dark (no lume) but better in all other areas otherwise. |>

:-d

by the way, is there a discussion yet if the frogman is worth the price?
Probably, but it is now, instead of then, so maybe something has changed and it is time to start a new one.:-d

If I had a gun and my watch was on the outside of my wrist, I'm sure anyone would give me the correct answer when I said what time is it, and if they said hammer time, its good night and god bless!!!
haha... i would have imagined MC Hammer would have popped out with his trash bag pants and starts "U cant touch this..." and do the crab walk. Nothing against him. I used to like the guy when I was young. Musically that is. :-d

I posted the below in another section here some time ago in a thread devoted to the wearing of a watch on the inside of the arm. As Cdr said, Mueller is a Marine Officer who received the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and two Navy Commendation Medals, all in Vietnam. I can easily see him wearing the watch this way as a habit from military days...or maby he is just trying to remind himself to do something later, like pick up milk?

....The last reason for me was whenever I would put on or take off my ruck, the straps would ALWAYS catch on my watch. This was a small thing, but very annoying to me. When I wore my watch in the inner arm position this snag did not happen. Those were MY reasons. Some other's may have theirs, and they may be totally valid, but I am unaware of anyother reasons.;-)

Gentlemen,

Director Mueller was a Marine Corps Captain in the 1960's in Southeast Asia.
A true combat Officer. He can wear it any way he pleases !

Carry on !

SEMPER FIDELIS !
As (hopefully) free men and women, wherever we may be, ALL of us, of course, can wear our watches any way we please!

As I noted earlier, perhaps this ugly little classic (even though not a "G") belongs in the watch wardrobes for more of us.
