Hello all I am currently awaiting a D7 Arctic white from Vaer and notice that there is little out there on the new dive series. So I thought I would make a thread for us to get together and share the watches and our experience with these.
So please feel free to post pics and share!

Yeah! I was wondering when a thread would get started. I've had the D5 Tropic dial since just before the New Year. The case shape is amazing.

Thanks. I find the build quality to be as good as anything in this price range. I don't own anything worth more than $1,000 so I can't comment on how it compares to a Rolex, but it's as good as any other micro brand I've handled and better than the QC of most Seikos. [Edit: I'd say it's very comparable to the entry level swiss offerings - Hamilton, Tissot, Bulova, ect.] Overall, I'm very happy with it. Like I said, the case shape and design is the star of the show for me. The Miyota is functioning within the spec they advertise, no complaints there either. The roulette date wheel (red on factors of 4) is a fun detail.

The one negative for me is the bracelet. I can't get the darn thing on for the life of me. I'm sure it fits well once it's on, but it's by far the most difficult bracelet I've tried to install, despite the "quick release" tabs. Maybe that's just my problem and others are much more dexterous. Personally, I've given up on it for fear of damaging the case. I'd love to hear your thoughts, assuming you ordered the bracelet.

Quite a few people here have their field style watches. I think the divers only started shipping out in December though.

I had the atlantic for since December. It's a nice watch overall. But mine has a misaligned bezel, especially disappointed since I was one of the first to order and got the serialized version that was limited to 100 pieces. The steel bracelet is pretty good but doesn't align 100% with the case shape, but still pretty good. The rubber strap is pretty cheap and the keeper has pretty sharp edges that dig into my wrist so I stopped wearing it. I usually either keep it on leather strap or the steel bracelet.

That been said I do really like the watch. I would say it's a good homage to the vintage seamster without being a blatant copy. Dial has a nice clean balance. I got it for $400 on pre-order, for that money I think it's a good watch.

I have their other silicone strap too that they sell separately. It's thinner and softer than the one that came with the D5. I like it a lot actually. Unfortunately, I got it in blue for different watch.

Any tips for getting the bracelet on?

Congratulations! Looks awesome!
I have the D5 Tropic - is the lume on the bezel browning already for any of you with this same watch? I can post a pic when I get home of mine. I wore it in the shower once which I guess caused it?
I have not noticed any color changes on mine. It looks as good as new. I haven't submerged it, but it's certainly been wet washing hands and such.

Have you contacted them yet? That doesn't look right. I'd be interested to know the result.

So my D7 Arctic white came in the other day. Tried it on the tropic at first but was jot a fan, nothing against it itself but just not for me. So I had it on the khaki nato until the bracelet came in. Yesterday the bracelet was delivered and wow am I impressed!

Like how easy the bracelet was to out on and size! Also super comfortable and looks nice.
My impressions so far are positive. I like many classic designs but am trying to find alternatives to out right homages. I love the old seamaster and milsub military contract watches but did not want fauxtina lume.

I had a steinhart ovm but the fauxtina lume was somthing I did not want and began looking for alternatives. Wanted a no date sword hand diver with classic cues and this is it!

Only weird thing so far is there is no discernible "pop" when the crown is unscrewed soits hard to tell when it is all the way unscrewed. Other than thar all seems well so far but its only been a few days.

Hoping the gentleman with the odd lume discoloration gets answers and gets it fixed.

well here it is

Hey everyone,
Update on my watch with the browning lume - it’s being returned and replaced. They were just as surprised and confused about it as we are. They hadn’t come across that happening on any of their dives to date. Needless to say I think I’ll be a little more cautious with the replacement.

Thanks for the update! I'm happy to hear they're making it right for you and you'll get a new watch. Post up some photos when it arrives!

So still like my vaer diver but the one thing that cheapens it is the finishing of the paint on the bezel, a little sloppy and is not as nice as the dial. Makes the watch seem a little generic but overall really like it still.

I'm sorry to hear about all the bezel lume issues. I haven't had this problem on mine ... yet. I've had it since December 2020, but haven't gotten it really wet yet either.

It's a darn nice looking watch though.

Today I finally got the bracelet on using a set of spring bar pliers without the tips in. What. A. Pain. In. The. A$$.

I'm not a fan of solid link bracelets to begin with and this one had the extra complication of "quick release" spring bars. Spoiler alert, they're not quick release, at least not with my fingers.

Anyways, enough ranting about it, I think it looks pretty good on the bracelet and it's comfortable. Also, it's red date day!

Huh never really looked into Vaer, but I did notice Addies Dive makes one with the a case that looks almost exact. 🤷‍♂️

Not my pics

I bought that Addiesdive instead of the Vaer. Fantastic watch, well made, wears great on my wrist. I am not a bracelet fan so I wore it on a tropic strap in summer and switched to leather for winter. It has an early 60's Omega-style lyre lug case and a late 50's style Sub dial with fautina and a domed crystal - a nice combination of vintage features. Can't beat the value - sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel, NH35 and a well finished 316L case for $116.
