This is a very special watch that is becoming very rare these days. It's a superb example of the famous 765 Co-Pilot from 1967. It features the legendary Venus 178 movement which was modified to have a 15-minute counter 3:00 subdial for this model. It's in amazing condition for its age and to my eye has never been polished or refinished. It was purchased from the original owner and is in entirely all original condition. No parts have been replaced, including the original crystal. This is the real deal. An all-original 765CP.
The stainless steel case is completely unpolished and retains all the original finishing.
The movement is running well but service history is unknown for this piece. That being said, it's running between -15 to +15 per day which is great for a watch of this age. It winds beautifully and operates exactly as it should.
This watch was sold to me by the original owner's son, who lives in Japan. It was worn regularly for years and then put in a drawer for the last couple of decades. I'm not entirely sure where it was purchased, but it's likely that it was bought in Japan.
The back has the Breitling logo, "765CP" and the serial number clearly engraved, dating it to 1967.
The bezel retains the original tritium lume, and the dial and hands are entirely original and untouched as well. All lume fades equally fast. The bezel rotates smoothly in both directions and holds itself firmly in place.
Please let me know if you have any questions and I would be happy to answer them.
I have impeccable feedback on this forum, with almost 50 transactions. Please visit the feedback and reputation to see my perfect history.
Price: $7,250 shipped and insured. This is the cheapest 765 listed anywhere and it's near the top in terms of condition. Payment via bank wire only. US sales preferred. Only trades considered would be vintage navitimers.
