It is a genuine Stowa pocket watch (not a wrist watch originally) with a common swiss movement (I doubt it is German) which was then transformed into a wrist watch. Not the pilot watch the ebay-seller was referring to. Case was probably made out of brass with a chrome layer.

-Well, -I'll take some close-up pics and post them when I receive it..
Looking forward to see it 'live'..

Here's some more..

Does anyone know where to buy a new strap for these cases ??

-Even better, -does anyone know if it's possible to have the watch made into a 'proper' wristwatch ?
-Anyone with any knowledge about buying cases to fit these big watches?

Thanks in advance..

Hi Claus,

I guess it's too expensive to change case, bezel, glass etc. etc.

But if you want another strap there is a craftsman in Köln/Cologne, who works for really low prices:

Scroll the page down and you will find address, phone number and email address.

I only can recommend his labour,

Volker ;-)
