Won this watch as part of an online auction but I cant find any info on it. The pics are from the auction and I will have some better shots once it arrives. I cant find anything on it. Is it even real?
Those photos are truly terrible, so I wouldn't want to make any firm conclusions. But I don't see any obvious problems, and the blurry case-back photo indicates that it is stainless steel (not "stainless steel back"), so that's a good sign that it's better than the usual diver-style watch from the 1970s.
My guess is the bezel was originally black and red and the red has completely faded which I think is cool. It's kind of a plain dial for a Caravelle divers so I thought maybe a replaced movement but I did find one other example of a diver with that dial and an 11DP 7j movement (that sold for a fair chunk of change.) They are simple to work on so it should be easy to get up and running!
I just found that same diver on ebay. That's great really- its somewhat unique and very cool that it is manual wind. thanks for your assistance. I will try to find more model info as it does not have 333 or 666 so maybe its more of a fashion diver?
