I'm so glad the oversized watch trend is going out and the new thing is vintage inspiration!

With my below average wrist size, this is a godsend since most modern vintage looking pieces are more between 36 to 40mm, the sweet spot for me!

The only thing I don't really care for is the faux patina.

What do you guys think of this trend? Yea or Nay?

Here is my latest acquisition that fits the bill, Monchard Pulsation Chronograph. I'm very impressed by the quality for 350 USD (including shipping, taxes, customs fees, and it came with an extra black leather strap, tool and a very nice watch roll)

I am a pretty boring guy so I like the vintage stuff. I pass on faux patina though. Vintage started as new, as I would like my new watches to do.

Vintage inspired is cool especially with all of the amazing watches that brands have to "modernize." I do worry that the trend will get out of control as trends have a tendency to do and it will have watch brands fully focused on looking backwards rather than forwards with their designs. And faux patina is the worst imo.

Zenith A384 Revival. A near replica of the original A384, with the only visual differences being the display case back and the signing of the crown is now the Zenith star. Still true to its 37mm size. Wears like a dream.
