i am looking at this watch to purchase and wanted to get some feedback on the maker and estimated value.
I have added photos from the inside.

Any additional feedback on condition/quality of the watch would be appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the forum!

You will see in the stickies that we don't offer valuations here.

However according to Microlisk:

Word trade mark Image trade mark Manufacturer Location and details
Leroy et Cie.Leroy & Cie.Uhren, Schmuck, Gold-und Silberwaren; Boulevard de la Madelaine 7, Paris, Frankreich; registriert am 6.1.1936

So that ties in with your date, and they appear, to me, to be jewellers rather than watchmakers. So it would also be interesting to see what is inside the watch (it is of course likely to be French) to see who actually made the watch.

thank you for your repky. i understand the wztch was repaired by the jewler and they are asking $8,500 which may or may not be appropriate. i wanted to find out if this was a good collectable as i heard the maker was a great original watch maker.

i personally never heard of this watch.

thank you

Instead of asking if it's collectable you should ask yourself if it's something you'd personally like to collect. For example, if I were to buy a piece of art for my home, instead of asking -was he a great artist?- I would ask myself -is it a great painting?-

And at $8500 you'd think there would at least be a picture of the movement....

For those prices, you can get something like a PP or a VC. Not some strange name with a restored dial. But I've to agree with Ebouwman: where's the movement picture?

I did google this watch company and the movements looked good to my completely untrained eyes. Also I do like the stained glass looking hands on the watch you posted.
