From what my mother said this watch belonged to my great grandparents. All I can see is that it's a LeCoultre, says 10k gold filled on the back and that the serial is #191597. Looking around on the internet all I really could find is that it looks to be made in the mid 1940's. It unfortunately is missing the winding knob. It's a neat looking watch and I might take it to a watchsmith if it is worth fixing. If anyone knows anything about this watch the knowledge would be much appreciated. |>

Nice piece. You have a heirloom LeCoultre and wonder if it is worth fixing? Of course it is!:) Oh, and the "winding knob" is called the crown. Finding a simple replacement crown to fit the watch won't be that hard. We probably will be able to tell you more if you post a photo of the movement.
What more is there to say... Beautiful watch. Have it serviced, wear it, enjoy it!
