Just purschesed this pocket olma watch. I have been looking in the web to find out how old is this watch but with no success . Inside written 11 51 nickel chrome . The watch is small in size . Is that a ladies one? Thanks
The size together with the sweep second speak that it is a so called "nurse watch". Doing his job it is not hygenic to wear a wrist watch and the times as a pulse was measured by counting and timing isn't so long ago. Nice peace.
I'm not sure when that movement was brought out but the two examples given by Ranfft are from the 1950s. This one looks like it's from about that time too - if anything, you might go back into the 1940s.
