Hello,

I have a couple of pocket watches I would like to know some information on them. The first one is a "Signum" pocket watch, it is not currently running, I have not heard of this brand before and the movement is simple with REF.759 stamped under the balance wheel. The second watch is an "Ellis Bros" pocket watch, again not running and missing second hand.

Any information is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Blaine

Can't find anything about "Ellis Brothers" in Mikrolisk, and especially no link to Tacy/Cyma/Tavannes but that watch has a Cyma movement inside, probably a bigger version of this one:

On the other hand, there definitely seems to be a link between "Signum" and Schwob Freres of Cyma so I think that the Signum probably also has a Cyma movement. Going by the edge of the mainspring bridge, possibly something like this in a geartrain bridge variation:

...perhaps even a Cal. 759, if the inscription under the balance is anything to go by.
