Was wondering if anyone had any insight on this old chronograph as I couldn't find much by searching other than I think its a venus 170 movement. It's marked Delba watch co. swiss.
Can anyone tell me anything about them or when it may have been made?

Try to take a look under the dial,I think that you'd find cal. number over there. This watch was probably made by Delbana Watch Co. in 1950's.

There were plenty of wrist watches from the early fifties, even high class ones, that lacked shock proofing. It only became standard towards the end of the decade.
