Hello All,

Just picked up this vintage Tissot dated back to the 40's era. I really like the look of this watch as it also reminds me of the other IWC watches
with the metallic blue hands. I'm located in N.J. and I'm interested in getting movement cleaned and overhauled, replace acrylic crystal, and possibly
getting the dial lightly retouched, and put a nice new strap on it.

I'm looking for a good watch shop in N.J./N.Y. that is reliable and works on vintage watches. Also, not overly expensive. I know the two don't go hand in hand, but some references would be much appreciated.

Let me know what you think. Feedback will be appreciated.

Thanks

I have a very similar watch. Congrats on the nice purchase!

Don't know of anyone specifically in NY/NJ, but I suspect that there are probably hundreds of independent watchmakers there. If you want to send the watch by mail to NW Pennsylvania, there is a guy who is reasonably priced and does nice work there. Please send me a PM for more information, if interested.

Take care,
