Thank you for sharing, this model looks particularly interesting.
I recently became interested in this watch because it is the first ever mechanical alarm clock watch. I am considering getting one for myself if the price is right... Could you please tell me where exactly your watch in such good condition? Was it online? At a watch shop?
Thanks!

Thx,

It is indeed a nice watch and pretty rare. This is one of the very first with a close back. I got it from another collector. Most of my 'rare' watches come from other collectors who granted it to me.
Best just to keep an eye on the 'usual' sites. Like Ebay, Fora, Chrono24, etc. Do think it is better to go for a younger model as it will be easier to find.

That's a lovely watch. I just acquired a Cricket via an online auction. It works perfectly and so far is keeping pretty good time, though I will get it serviced soon. Watch Analog watch Watch accessory Fashion accessory Wrist
I was struck by the design and a little research on WUS and elsewhere quickly gave me the history. This one is circa 1970. I'm mainly into Omegas and Gallets but I'm going to start looking out for more Vulcains. The prices aren't crazy and they're great conversation pieces.
