I do not see one of these shown in this forum. They are next best case for an 18 or 16 size movement than an original gold in my opinion. Available to watch dealers, not generally, although many made before and after 1900 were used as travel clocks. Not rare but hard to find in unused condition. Bought this one, sellers fuzzy photos, since a good condition example. Used to be more commonly available so also not now a cheap item. This one has an age appropriate good 83 model movement.

documents 204a.jpg Really pleased with this combination of AWWCO movement and case. Best model 1883 I have but 1889 may be too old to be original with case.?
I have similar 4 million serial Appleton Tracy nonmagnetic. A better grade? I have other later 83 movements that could be used but would prefer not.

The teak wood display cases properly position hunter mvnts. as well. Here another 4 million serial hunter mvnt. could be used but unless seriously advised I will leave it with its older perhaps not original mvnt.
