Hey everyone! As some of you know, I recently purchased a 1919 Bunn Special and I'm trying to figure out the design on the caseback. I think it looks like a bearded man while my friend thinks it's an owl. Does anybody have any information about this caseback (see picture). Thanks!

I think it's a floral pattern to which you are attributing an anthropomorphic form.

It's remotely possible the horn feature is a stylised Horn of Plenty or Cornucopia symbol.

Interesting. You're right I'm probably seeing an amphomorphic form, but it is interesting how we can see different things.

As a huge Star Trek fan I agree it does!
