I use box’s for safe storage. I have rolls too and if you get a roll check out deluges. Beautiful and when open it has a long display portion to display and prevent roll from rolling. And for boxes, I have 4, 6, 8 and 10 slot boxes, so you don’t have to have empty slots to look at

I have a 12 watch box/case wth pillows in my drawer in the closet. That's where everything lives. There's really only 9 that are easilyh accessible, so the back is for broken ones I just can't part with.

But I've also got a two watch roll. It was my first father's day gift some years ago and I use it only for travel now. Realistically I usually wear a watch and travel with one. But I can toss it in the suitcase and it protects them very well.

Depends a bit on the watches you have or might buy. A watch roll has the disadvantage that it only works with watches that can be folded. If you have integrated straps or leather straps with butterfly clasps, a watch roll won't do.

At home, I have a watch box with 8 slots and some drawers in addition. Works with every type of watch and strap, but requires some space.

For traveling, I wanted a solution that works with for the different watches I have, is safe and also compact. I couldn't find anything suitable on the market, so I made it myself. Found a hardcase in the right dimensions (originally intended for some navigation device), added some inner walls cut out from closed cell foam and glued together, et violà..

I used to like the idea of a watch roll, but I grew to not like them. I like to be over protective. I keep all my watches in crushproof/waterproof cases when I travel. Eleven:11 Prints uses Pelican cases with custom foam inserts. I have a 1 & 2 watch case from them I use when traveling. I travel with 2 or 3 watches so the ones I don't wear can have a spot. At Home some are in hard cases or some are in winders. You can also buy your own hard case and make one yourself.
