Dad was looking for a new (old) pocket watch and after a little search on eBay he’d got a short list, these I dismissed one by one for being over priced for what they were, yes, they might have had “good” names but the movements were lower grades. So, we had a joint search and I found this little guy.


Nothing much to look at but very clean


A Dennison Star case, guaranteed to wear 10 years


Now then, what made this stand out?


17 jewels, 4 adjustments, Reed’s regulation, screwed in chatons, all in a fine movement I think you’ll agree, I think it’s possibly a Minerva

I believe the Arrow/small Christmas tree mark is the same

And he got this for just over £60, much better than a bog standard 15 jewel Omega and the like.
