did Kobold ever make it without the Land Rover on the dial? Thanks for any help provided. The picture does not belong to me, I hope it's ok that I used it. Thanks.

It is considered rude to 'take' someones picture and post it, particularly when you can look at the thread https://www.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?t=285584
and see that it is someone who posts's here - you could have asked the question in the thread, sent a PM or an email to get your answer.

But to answer your question it's a soarway diver case, plain bezel which does move, different case back than the SD and I understand, since there's one posted for sale on TZ that there are two different casebacks - the 20th anniversary Range Rover back and as in my case, the Land Rover Expedition Timekeeper caseback - both are stamped WR 300m. Therefore, I assume my watch is the limited edition Soarway Diver Land Rover Expedition Timekeeper. As such I don't believe it comes without LR on the dial, but one could send off the dial to be re-done and remove it. The hands and markers are a very cool blue lume also.

Feel free to PM or email if you have other questions. :-!
Watt,

Sorry to offend you by reusing the link to your picture. I appreciate all the info you provided. That is really one nice looking watch that has really captured my attention. I really love the way the dial looks except for the Land Rover advertisement. The watch looks like a tougher version of a Rollie Explorer. Maybe I'll look into having one customized. Thanks again and take care.
Oh, I didn't say I was offended, just that it was considered rude.
There's one on timezone sales corner that is going for a pretty penny and I'm like you but I can live with the LR thing as it is a very cool watch that has very clean lines. And blue lume!
You know, I could probably learn to live with that Land Rover logo, that is one sweet looking watch you've got. I think the thing that really bothers me is the word "for" on the dial. If it just said "Land Rover", "Rover" or something like that it might be better. Kobold should really make and sell a clean version of that watch. Congrats and thanks again!
Kobold does make a clean version of the watch. It is called the Soarway Diver. It comes in SS (This one appears to be Ti) and is a phenominal watch. I have had one and loved it, great size, and presence, very legible dial, and as you said, classy and dressy, but with an agressive flair. They are very reasonably priced new and with some searching you can find them in the various sales forums fairly priced as well. It comes in either a blue face, black face, or white face version. If you haven't yet visited Troy's Unofficial Kobold gallery (sticky thread above) you should, you will see all the photos of the Soarway Diver you can stand :)

I don't consider your use of the photo rude or out of place by the way. You didn't try to take credit for it, you said it was someone else's and gave a specific reason for doing so
Thanks for the word on the Kobolds Watchesnboats. Also, thanks for telling me about the website with the pics, I'll definitely be visting it. The bug has bit and I really am wanting one of those watches. Take care.:-!
Actually that model more closely resembles the mid size SOA than the SD, you may want to look in to it.
Will do. Thanks.:-!
Sorry, have to disagree. This appears to be a Ti Soarway case, no destro crown, flat face crystal, doesn't appear to be larger case, very thin (for a Kobold)...definitely a Soarway

While the SOA is a Soarway case, this watch is more like the traditional Soarway Diver, as can be seen by the crown location and size similarity as well as the bezel construction - if you look at a traditional SD and this watch, the configuration is the same i.e. there is the 'inner' bezel for the lack of a better term and the bezel does turn, unlike, I believe the SOA bezels which are fixed.

I used to own this watch, and I have an SD. Aside from crown placement, there is a closer resemblance to a 41mm SOA. Lack of date, lack of second hand, fixed bezel, etc. Also, the 41mm SOA is based on the SD case.
The SD, is as the name implies, a dive watch. Given the lack of functions, I don't think one would dive with this watch.
The LR version that was given away with the car is def. a SD.
Just my opinion
I had a polished Ti version of this watch that came as a set with a PS. It was supposedly given to top LR dealers and there were 40 or 50 sets. I have the PS which is an Avantgarde model with the Kobold for Land Rover dial. Sold the other one but now am kind of regretting it as my size perception has adapted to smaller watches!
Both watches have a solid case back with no notches for a case opener.
Thanks for agreeing
