the ff is expensive, but when you get right down to it, it is just another homage to the beautiful classic ND submariner. No watch can pull off the classic feel of the rolex submariner on a NATO. The ND invented that look ;)

It's hard to say...
My vote would either be the Rolex Sub or the Omega Seamaster "Bond".

Cheers.

Pretty much any S/Steel watch with normal lugs looks OK on a Nato.

Of course, it'll then be the type/colour-pattern of the Nato that starts to makes a difference.

Rolex Milsub, 6538 BC and a Comex submariner is the perfect match for a NATO.

I agree with many of the posters here, that the Sub is about as good as it gets on a nato, although many dive watches also look great with a nato.

You forgot to put a smiley wink after this sentence also!

Nope. The Sub was launched in 1954, and had the 'Mercedes' hands. The first Fifty Fathoms was launched in 1953.

cheers.

do you think putting this on a nato would be sacrilege?

it is after all a military inspired watch.

Pretty much every diver, even expensive ones, look great on NATOs. Here's my most expensive watch that's on a NATO:
