I’ve only been collecting a few years. One of the interesting things I have learned about the watch community is that reputation and integrity are vital. So much happens online, and it seems like somebody with a terrific reputation can make a deal for any watch, and someone with a bad reputation can’t make a deal for anything, no matter how much they offer.
I collect a unique watch- College football bowl game player award watches. I don’t worry about quality as much as availability at all, ever. I know of three other active UT bowl watch collectors and we talk with each other.
I think there is a need for a website where collectors can discuss trades.
