I had my heart set on an Orient Defender with either the grey or blue dial, only to find that they are out of stock at every online dealer that carries them! Aside from a couple grossly overpriced listings on Ebay, does anyone have any leads to where I could purchase one?

Alternatively, what are your suggestions for a visually similar watch in that price range?

You could check with Marc at long island watches and see if he will have more stock soon. He is a forum sponsor as well.

I actually emailed the sales inbox at Long Island Watch and Marc responded. He told me that the item should come back in stock at some point but they're not sure when. Currently, LIW only has the cream dial in stock but not the black or grey. I don't believe that I saw the blue dial with SS band, however. LIW has the others priced between $115-$130, so the price is very good. Just need some inventory. I also read on another forum that somebody contacted Orient USA directly, some months ago, but even Orient could not predict when they would have more inventory.

There is a page on Massdrop that sold >400 units in July. Currently over 200 members requested another drop, so it might come back in stock there with any luck.
