I've lured myself into getting an Amphibian, my argument being that I need a watch that can withstand a beating (and the price is great too). Trouble is though, which one?

I've currently narrowed it down to one of these three:

What do you think? Do you have any other recommendations? And have any of you used solod.com before?

Where's the scuda dude ? i thought that's the classic ? :) I still considering whether to get a modern Amphibian, I don't mind a Vostok Neptune. :)

Out of those three I'd go for the top one :-! Prefer the slightly less strident numeral colours over the middle |>

I'd go for the second - think it suits the bold, rugged design of the watch. Here's a pic of mine to give you another view:

At this point, better buy whichever one you can find, they're getting very scarce, I guess due to the financial problems at the factory. I've been looking for the white face version with the green numbers and anchor, and can't find it. Solod, Smirs, M-Watch, Zenitar...they all have very limited choices of Amphibians lately, very worrying.

I have decided..

..and I chose the third one. Partly because it has a naval time that's not cheesy and since I'm ex-navy I found it fitting. Also, if these watches are getting scarce, I'd like to have an Amphibian where looks fit the name :)

Sure hope Vostok don't go bankrupt, these seem like great watches for exceptional prices. Guess I'll have to do my part, so the christmas tree will be ticking this year! ;-)
