See people saying online that 5610s and the likes get weird when viewed perfectly straight. Any tough solar casios where this isn't an issue?

From what I've read, the GW-B5600MG-1 is one of the best solar G-Shocks for display contrast. I believe the solar panel on the GW-B5600 series is not mounted on a glass sheet as it is with most solar G-Shocks (like the GW-M5610 series), so internal reflections are reduced, which increases the display contrast. Also, these models have an LED backlight rather than EL, which also increases the display contrast. The MG colorway is one of the few GW-B5600 models with an untinted, positive display. Unfortunately, this model seems to be discontinued.

G-Shock analog dials and hands tend to be a hot mess. The best legible digital display is STN but it doesn't seem as bright as the old standard display. EL backlit actually makes the clarity worse so the new LED implementation maybe the way to go imo.

If not a G-Shock then obviously a traditional 3 hander with internal AR on the crystal is your best bet. Sapphire at least according to Seiko does not have the best acuity (their Hardlex performs better), traditional acrylic crystal like on the base model Speedy Pro actually gives a warm tone.

Also when outdoors under the sun, the glass lenses like on an old B&L Ray-Ban with a traditional 6 base curve will always be clearer with least distortions than let's say polycarbonate lenses on an Oakley wraparound or those hipster superflat lenses with some ridiculous base curve like 2 and worse yet reverse lenses (trying to prime the consumer with future display electronics)? Lmao!
