I REALLY like the hourly chime features of my 7700. This is the first watch I have ever had that allows me to set a restriction on WHEN the chime should occur. For instance, the chime on my watch only occurs between the hours of 0700 and 2300. At 0200, it WON'T chime. Just in case you were wondering...it also won't chime at 1500 on Saturday. You know why...because the hourly chime is set for "wday". How awesome is that?

I know I can always turn off chime, but that leaves a lot of room for human error. G-Shocks don't mess up, humans do.

So which other G-shocks have this feature?

The only one I know of is the G-7800 - the module looks like it's pretty much based on the module of the G-77XX series.

Greetings, Sedi:)
Agreed.

You may find something like that in some of the Timex Shocks.
I don't know about all the Timex Shock line, but the one I have (non-solar) does not have this feature. The Ironman DataLink can do this - turn hourly chime on/off at prescribed times as well as the same thing with "night-mode".

I agree that it's a nice feature - one of the many reasons I like the module in my G-7700.
