6309 is great looking. Although I'd rather have a modern equivalent like an SKX173. Biggest reason is the lume. And unless you just got it serviced, the WR on a watch that old can't be trusted.
I like the solar chronographs. The examples I have on my list are the pilot slide rule models like your second choice, but with the solar alarm movement.
