Personally I think it’s a good value and frankly the rather simplicity makes the brand attractive. Add to that features like eco drive and you got a winner for the price

Actually, my most expensive watch is a Citizen. I really like their The Citizen pieces, elegant and amazing worksmanship but with top-notch functionality (HAQ, perpetual calendar, solar.) They make a lot of pieces, so there's pretty much a Citizen for anyone.

My first “expensive” watch 20 yrs ago was a Citizen Blue Angels Skyhawk, I spent months looking around and finely found one for the right price ($200) and after that… I was hooked! I currently have IWC, Rolex, Breitling, Omega, Tissot, Hamilton, Oris, and Fortis in my collection but Citizen will always have a special place in my heart!!

I was initially drawn to Citizen by Eco-Drive, but I also appreciate the value, quality, reliability, and variety including a nice range of titanium options. Easily my favorite brand overall.
Yes, exactly. They have the best solar technology, and the best titanium technology on the market. Why pay more for something inferior?

Engineering!
Whether it's complications (like the Grand Complication or F990 GPS)
or steel and Titanium case and bracelet work (like the Signature collection or ratchet adjustable clasp)
the love of Engineering always comes through. Watching interviews with the engineers during the GPS "space race" while Citizen was working on the F100 movement, their passion and dedication comes through. This is more than a job for many of them; they are personally invested.
For me, a watch is a model of the universe I want to see: it is a message of hope that order will prevail, that the light will return, and that Spring will come again.

I like Citizen because they are not resting on their laurels. Within the space of traditional wristwatches, they push in a way other brands, especially the Swiss, do not. I mean, 1 second a year? Amazing.

Also, I like that they span the price range. No gatekeeping. Even lower-price models are excellent and you should expect them to last decades.

Eco-Drive was a huge selling point for me. Loved the idea of not needing routine maintenance. It did have to go in for service once, and they were great about repairing under warranty and returning to me so now I would add customer service to the list as well
