@bluemoose You gotta relax;) There is nothing wrong with your watch. You did not make the wrong choice. Citizen makes excellent watches that last forever. Paying less than MSRP is what we all want. You got a great price on a great watch, so you bought two(y) Enjoy them. Maybe take the bracelet off of one of them and wear it on a strap. Get back to us when they arrive with some photos;)

dont' get me wrong... I"m not one of those people who must have the latest and great model.

I'm still using my iPhone 6s as my daily driver phone. I bought the iPhone 12 last year and returned it after a couple of weeks. Didn't see what that much of an improvement, except the camera... but I never take pictures with my phones.(only use my Sony RX100 V for that. My computer still runs on Windows XP(don't judge, it works perfectly fine)

I was just amused that a Citizen watch less than 3 years old was marked as "clearance" at those stores. :)

This is now the third watch I've seen you post about this model..yes, I guess they are different topics, but JMHO it seems excessive.

How much is the original replacement titanium bracelet...

Last time I asked different questions about one watch, the mod warned me to turn them into separate threads. :(

Now you're saying 3 threads about one watch are excessive...

Can't win either way. :( (perhaps next time I'll be more creative and ask three different question within one long sentence in 10 words or less)

Some watches are made for years (Casio DW-5600E, Citizen Nighthawk, Seiko SKX007) and some watches pull an Elvis and leave the building quickly. There is no rhyme or reason for it. On paper the watch you bought (and that awesome orange dial one) are the perfect watch. Lightweight and solar. It makes the perfect watch watch for somebody to wear for years. However it might not resonate with most buyers and does not sell. The reason it is on clearance is due to lack of buyer interest (The MSRP was a tad bit over optimistic also me thinks) and not an issue with the watch.

I have a Citizen Navihawk GPS in Ti. It is a great watch but only was sold for a few years before it was discontinued. The high price killed it. There was no reason to have that high an MSRP on the watch. Citizen decided to offer the Satellite Wave Freedom which was a more logical MSRP for what the watch was and it sells well.

I predict you will enjoy the watches. They look great. I kick myself for not buying one of the orange dial ones.

This model has been out for a few years, which seems like a normal model cycle to me. I've owned two other titanium Citizens (still have one), and those models only lasted one or two years, so this one has done well.

Oddly, however, only the bracelet/black dial version has been on Citizen's US site, at least for the past couple of years. I have the strap/orange version, which caught me by surprise in a local shop, and I've seen black and blue dials on straps, with the blue dial coming with a blue strap. Those versions are nowhere to be found on the site, so it appears Citizen hasn't promoted the range all that much. They're excellent watches IMO. Titanium rules, especially with large cases which magnify the weight reduction relative to steel.

If the range is being discontinued, I hope it means Citizen will release a new range of titanium divers, IMO ideally with smaller cases and more colors, with all colors available on bracelet.

I have been wearing the watch for nearly three years. I paid $247, brand new. best guess is that titanium doesn’t excite people. The watch is very lightweight, so it almost feels like a toy - full titanium bracelet, not just the case. Or, people don’t love the gray tone, doesn’t have sapphire glass, it’s solar quartz, etc.

it’s not a toy. Citizen makes great watches. The light weight is a plus, a nice alternative to heavier dive watches. Citizen’s surface hardening treatments for titanium are excellent - take a look at the case and clasp. They’re in great shape for a watch that has been worn outside, a lot. It’s a bargain for an ISO 6425 compliant watch. they just run, problem free. You should really enjoy it.

Citizen has released a couple of other titanium dive watches. BN0228-06V and related reference numbers are made to look like the Citizen 1982 1300 meter dive watch, and the one I’m wearing today is an automatic - released 2021. NB6004-83E. This one is a little larger and thicker but very light and relatively short (about 51mm) between the lugs. Fabulous.

I now have the orange one. I paid about $120 shipped for it back in December. It was listed as being a refurb but it looked brand new like every other watch i have bought from officialwatchdeals . It This seller seems to have some connection with Citizen as when I once asked them if they were getting a specific Skyhawk back in stock they told me that they sell whatever Citizen sends them. I suspect since this seller sells Citizen, FC, Alpina, Bulova that they might be the vehicle that Citizen uses to sell watches that have been returned and repaired at the factory or unsold stock sent back to Citizen from stores. In any case I have bought about 20 watches from this seller over the years and all the watches look new. They come in a generic Citizen box instead of the original box and have no manuals or other paper work except for the seller's warranty card. This is a great way to pick up a Citizen watch for cheap.
