I'd like to take the bracelet from the GW-M5610BC-1JF and use it on the GW-M5610R-1, then put the band and bezel from the DW-5600P-4 on the GW-M5610BC-1JF. Will that work OK?

Band and bracelet will work just fine but the dw5600 bezel will not work in a 5610. 5610 body is a bit smaller and the buttons are wider apart.

Try not to be too helpful, buddy.

Alright, thanks. Looks like there was, at one time, a GW-M5600BC-1. I suppose if I could find that model, then the bezel would work? In any case, good to know the physical differences between the 5600 and 5610 designs.

Oh, I have. And the information out there can be quite confusing. For instance, take this eBay ad for a bezel: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Casio-G-Shock-GW-M5610-GW-M5600BC-GW-M5610BC-black-resin-watch-bezel/113325986171

It says it's for 5600 and 5610. Is there some magic way I should know what source of information to trust, having little experience with these watches?
one easy search for bezel compatibility gave me THIS thread which has this chart that's been shared many, many times.

The GW-M5600BC-1 is a weird beast, I had this watch and note the bracelet and bezel are specific to that model, it is normal one side, on the other the bracelet cuts into the bezel, never understood why, but quickly worked this out when I went to shift the bracelet onto another G.

That’s the gw-m5600 not the dw5600. Totally different watches. A bezel for a be-m5600 will fit a gw-m5610 because they are essentially the same watch just 5610 has one more band.

For me reliable sources are

Casio website: just compare dimensions specified for models you wish

Pacparts: check products number if two models use the same part number then it should be compatible. Moreover they also listed that which model use that specific part.

If you couldn't find information you are looking for answers from trustworthy members here are much more reliable than info on eBay (imo)
