Yes I would.

Never thought about the smell though. Mmm old pennies!!

As for the green wrist, is it hard to wash off, and where does it accumulate the most?

Big thing that irks me is when the buckle doesn't match the case. Assuming this would be the worst offender for staining but why can't it be put on a strap like a Di-Modell with an underflap to keep it from touching skin?

I love mine but like it better without patina. Seltzer and lemon seem to keep it clean. It needs some more wrist time.i

I think it would be good for a beater watch.
Who cares if the case is scratched up when it's already tarnished?

Doubtful. I don't like the look when they age and not a fan of the patina, and there are very few which look appealing to me.
I have two 'bronze' watches, one is the Elliot Brown Holton Automatic, actually a titanium PVD that will not patinate further:

And a 'real bronze' Willard homage, which turns my wrist green (my PP wearing BIL says this is one of my best watches - not sure how to take that!):

It was not expensive, so I am not unduly worried as to what happens to the particles of patina that must form inside the case, and may end up free to roam therein - it is waterproof, but not gas proof, so natural humidity (ie water in gaseous form) and oxygen must also do their stuff inside.

To sum up, actual bronze would not be my everyday 'go-to', but they are interesting to wear as a change, if you like changing your watches around. Many of us do!

i like the look but not sure if i'd like it for the rest of the time i own it. i may get tired of the look

After having recently received an all-brass Steinhart Ocean One (artificially aged by a local watch artisan) from a fellow enthusiast at a watch meet, I really quite like how bronze shows its age in unique ways as it patinas. I think it makes the watch look aged in a dignified way. If you've not already added a bronze watch to your collection, would you ever consider adding one to it?

After wearing this Steinhart for a full day, I'm thinking a bronze Tudor Black Bay 58 is on the shortlist.

A pic, because pictures are fun:
Definitely - I'm a big fan of patina, and bronze patinas very well. One day I might get this beauty (pic from Eterna)....

Green wrist was definitely a turn off and why I sold my Glycine combat bronze years ago. However, I tried on the Omega Chronoscope in bronze gold last week and fell in love. No, it's not truly bronze being that it has 37.5% gold and the price reflects that. The color is a little more yellow than most silicon bronzes but it shouldnt turn the skin green. Now if I could just find an extra 14k in the sofa cushions...
If you find some, please send some my way 😁
