I was just informed by my contact in Japan that he signed a petition to stop the slaughter of whales that Japan is involved in for "scientific purposes" during the past 30 years. Apparently many Casio employees have signed this petition as well. Casio have had a long standing collaboration since the late 90's with ICERC and its co-organisation Earth Watch that is involved with the protection of marine life and whales was their first cause so the hump back whale is their symbol. Every year there is a new collection of ICERC G-Shocks and baby G's released in Japan were part of the proceeds goes to the protection of various endangered animals protection projects.

Anyway there is a summit going on in Australia right now where we might have a chance to stop this whale hunting for "scientific purposes". Only few hours left to sign the petition so here it is: https://secure.......org/campaign/en/stop_the_whales_slaughter_loc/?cNQkuhb Spread this to as many as you can!:-!

Anyway in honor of this cause I am wearing my red jelly ICERC Frogman:

Love this thing!:p:p:p

the neg version won out over the positive for its better matching with the dark green bezel :-!

beter view of the band with the neg display. edit, still the dark green bezel, looks almost black here. tried the black but it was a bit too dark for my liking.

That's very heartening news, Joakim. Unfortunately the link is not accessible, much as I'd like to join the petition!

For some reason this forum are deleting the domain when posting links, strange! Click the petition link on this page: https://www.care2. (manually copy and paste this address and then delete this space to make it a working link) com/news/member/193692282/4017474
