Starting off the work week with another Precisionist. Not sure if this is actually possible or not, but it looks and feels bigger than it is...in my opinion. Very solid watch, no forgetting that it's being worn as it definitely does not 'blend into the background'.
My girlfriend made me put a black nato on it and I dig. Since I finished building this thing about a month ago, I'm averaging +0.2 seconds per day (7s26). It's the most accurate watch I've ever owned, quartz included.
This week's cultural vingnettes are centered around my favorite authors. Don't like them? Die in a fire, you phillistines! All jokes aside, I read for escapism, pure and simple. I like a good story that takes me out of my head and plunks me down elsewhere. Nonfiction can suck it.
Love him or hate him, he was a leader in the Action/Military fiction genre for years. Many of his books have be adapted to the big screen and achieved critical success. He wa amond the rare authors that could drag you, kicking and screaming, into the worlds he created and make you enjoy being there.
Favorite Books: Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger, The Sum of All Fears.
