Well, since the chambray picture is my wrist, I think I'll comment. An all black watch is a specific vibe and will likely never be as versatile as the stainless steel version. Which isn't a bad thing, but its something to consider. For some people's lifestyle though, all black is the right vibe regardless. I bought mine as a watch that I could wear for everything (which I've generally done in the year plus I've owned it), so versatility was a higher priority.

That said, if you have a few other nice pieces that are a bit more traditional, perhaps having an all black watch isn't a bad idea.

My apologies, I didn't add the usual disclaimer that pics are from google not my own! Will edit my post accordingly :)

Yes I do think the s/steel will be a bit more versatile. I have a Blue Dial Seamaster Pro (on rubber) and a Rolex GMT 116710LN for context.

Interestingly the all black doesnt look out of place in the image above with a shirt on....
No worries, I wasn't offended. It's quite fun when a picture I've taken shows up randomly like this. I think ultimately the versatility is more a state of mind. When I was looking to buy the Santos, I already had a blacked out Zenith Shadow, so a second blacked out watch was not a consideration. That said, I really liked the idea of switching between the rubber strap and bracelet, so the WSSA0039 wouldn't have been a consideration regardless.

To be fair, I find myself wearing the Santos on the Rubber strap 90% of the time, so I probably could live without the bracelet.
