In response to another thread, I think it is time to start a thread of all things that are safe to do with your watch.

Yes, it is safe to wear a watch in Europe as long as you don't show it off and use common sense.

Yes, it is safe to wash your hands with a watch on.

Please share all other things that are safe to do when you wear a watch, let's have a fun :)

1) It is safe to tell the time with you watch
2) It is safe for you to give me your watch for free
Now you don't have a watch... you are safe

Don't you know the dangers of rhyming while wearing a watch!

The folly!

You better give yours to me for safe keeping

It is safe to wear a watch while you touch yourself (inappropriately or appropriately as determiend by you, or another person, or others watching, and of course the law, which varies from place to place)

It is safe to wear a watch while you make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich (unless you, or a family member, or perhaps a neighbor, or visitor, or maybe someone you will later see or be in contact with has a deadly peanut allergy)

It is safe to wear a watch as you fill your gas tank with gasoline (but it is not safe to fill it with diesel, or kerosene, or check the fuel level with a lighter)

It is safe to wear a watch while you text while driving (it is not safe to text while driving but your watch has nothing to do with it)

It is safe to wear a watch when you go grocery shopping (yeah I got nothing for this one)

It is safe to wear a watch when going to the toilet (but it can be unsafe depending upon what you do in there and with which hand you're doing it)

It is safe to wear a watch when you travel (but it is not safe if you use the word bomb, or see your friend and say Hi, Jack!)

It is safe to wear a watch when you travel (so long as it is not visible, you never look at it, you ask other people for the time)

Cripes, people, can some of you EVER act like adults?

This thread was gonna degenerate anyway but come on....

OP, it's pretty clear that you incited the kindergarten crowd and there's little or no chance this thread might get something useful added so you might as well ask the mods to close it out...

Let’s assume that you are spending a “reasonable” amount of money on your watch. I guess by “reasonable” I mean it is not the most important purchase in your life. Let’s assume that no matter what the watch, a Rolex, Omega, Apple Watch, Timex, Seiko, or anything else you have purchased, God forbid your break it, you can afford to repair or replace it. Given that assumption it should be safe to do anything with your watch, that you would do without it. Ski, snowboard, scuba dive, skateboard, BASE jump, squirrel suit jump, go shooting, ride Moto cross, ride a motorcycle cross country, your first concern should be your own well being. Screw the watch, if you are restricting your activities based on your watch, you need to seriously rethink your priorities in life.

Never ever have acted like an adult!!

Stupid permenant child here.

Thought about my suggestion for an hour, tried to be as sensible as possible.

It is safe to take your watch swimming if you are sure your seals are ok!! But don’t forget to feed the seals smelly fish!!

(Damn started out so well!!)

Oh my goodness Francis lighten up, from the OP "...let's have [a] fun :)"
Did you REALLY think a thread is needed to list safe things that can be done with a watch?
Maybe we need another thread, 'how to have fun and not go all to pieces'
