I always had a craving for a tank watch but I often always wear a diver for everything. I didn't want to splurge on a Cartier in case I was just going to chuck it in a drawer and not wear it. So I tested out a "Tank" with this square Ravel watch which cost £6.99. Glad to say that I enjoy the smaller case and the shape of the timepiece, and surprisingly love this cheap brand! I'm going to deliberately wear this one out as much as I can and see how it holds up.

I too desired a Tank Solo XL and fulfilled my itch on Alix for a mere $14.50 but I immediately replaced the strap w/a Tank replacement on AliX for a paltry $16 (it's actually a rather nice leather strap that is well worth the $). Together the combo cost $30 and not only am I pleased w/the look (the quartz movement loses about a half second a day-----I would be ecstatic if my considerably more expensive automatics would perform anywhere in that general ballpark. I've even gotten compliments on my AliX homage so my itch has been scratched and I am now on the threshold of getting the real thing.

I think that's a pretty good story and also thought that I was the only person to do that kind of thing haha
