Hello,

I own a Monvis chronograph and have been struggling to find any information on the company, or the watch. I had a little luck using google.it, but really haven't found much information at all.

I recently sent it off to have it tuned up, as the spring seemed a little weak, and the crystal was scratched up. Now that I have it back, I am eager to know more about it.

Here is a photo of the watch, if it helps.

Welcome to the Vintage forum. It appears that "Monvis" wasn't a company but rather a brand name of a company variously named Dux SA, later N. Praz and finally Ipo SA, which was located in Biel (source: Mikrolisk - The horological trade mark index). It was registered in 1962. The movement inside will be generic, quite probably a Landeron, if you are lucky a Venus or Valjoux movement.

Little to add apart from 'nice watch :-!' and that the 3-minute intervals remained quite common well into the 1950s (where I'd rather see this watch - look at its hands.)
