I bought something several years ago. It was overpriced and overpolished but I got a reliable piece that was what they said it was and was something I wanted.
I have not but at some times thought about to. Some of my friends bought their watches from him and they were very happy despite they were somewhat overpolished, however the timepieces were keeping superb time and were very good looking. Joseph is better than epray because at least he offers a 6 months warranty and doesn't sell crappy items unlike the bay.
My wife purchased a mens Omega Geneve Dynamic from Gisbert A Joseph. It was listed as "NOS" (new old stock) but within 6 months the crown and stem fell out. About the same time my brother in law bought a lady's Omega Geneve Dynamic for his wiofe from Gisbert A Joseph and the exact same thing happened, the crown and stem fell out. Both watches were listed as new old stock and both watches have the exact same problem. I think it's fair to say this is not a coincidence. These watches have spent more time in the repair shop than on our wrists.. My advice to anyone buying from Gisbert A Joseph is be VERY very careful.
This just means the set screw holding in the stem was loose. Very easy fix.
