Nice looking watch, should be a winner.

I'm not buying one, but I admit it's tempting.

Compared to the steel models, the improvements of the RN-Ti are significant - weight reduction, high-accuracy quartz movement, and longer battery life. I think I prefer its method of fixed-bars too (being part of the case, not welded on).

I bought my steel RN Quartz Mk2 Matte-Top (RN300-MT-QS120) in late 2023. It's great, I love it. Now my sights are set elsewhere.

I really like the watch and it was throwing a $500-$600 USD vibe at me. But it's $1,600!

That's five Citizen Garrisons on titanium bracelets, with enough left over for two cases of OK beer, a pack of cigarettes, and a burrito. They're drunk!!!
The non-VAT price, which is the one you want for comparison, is $1,260 or so, it varies a little daily. That's roughly double your upper expectation bracket, and that's an entirely normal expectation for pretty much any watch these days.

The steel version is just over ÂŁ550 ex tax, this one is ÂŁ1,000. It's a small batch production, and made in Switzerland it says, but that is a chunky uplift.

I like the Ti in the circle. It's good humour. Nice to see that, before it gets outlawed around the world (coming soon to a society near you!)

At least it isn't a ÂŁ10 Ronda movement in this one like the rest of their quartz watches. They charge an extra ÂŁ30 for a day date dial on the MK2 RN with Ronda 517 even though the no date already has the same movement with ghost position. Can't think of another Ronda 517 powered watch that's close to the ÂŁ730 they want. It's such a sloppy old movement like most Rondas in that range.

I am not planning to buy the new Titanium model, however it has rekindled my interest in the regular steel RN diver (matte top, polished sides). As others have commented, the price in general does feel a little high to me and for that amount I'd like to see the new ETA HAQ F06.402 movement rolled out to the steel range as well.

I’ve looked at them on the bay in the past (Older models) but the price seemed how shall we say, Bremont like, so i have never had one.

At half that I would, as I like the design of their watches.

Citizen and Seiko, and a bunch of independent watch companies, offer $500 watches in titanium, on bracelets.

As much as I like CWC - I really do! - , which part of this watch is justifying the $1.5k price tag?

No bracelet and a quartz movement - even a high accuracy one - should ensure a very affordable value proposition, hence this should be at most a $600 watch.

What am I missing? It's made by blind monks in K'un-Lun?

I'm guessing it's the small batch case run and some novelty mark up.
