Hello,

I wonder if there is anyone who know the history/background of watch brand Exacta or this particular watch model? There is some information on the forum about the russian brand with the same name, but this seems to be a different brand since the backside of my chronograph says it is Swiss made. In another thread someone mentioned that Exacta was the watch brand of german Junghans Uhren GmbH. Anyone who can confirm or reject that statement?

Would be grateful for any information!

Hi and welcome
I checked the bible of swiss makers.
Exact, Exactar, Exacto.
NO Exacta - sorry

That said, it is a nice piece and dial looks all original. 1950s?

Thank you for your help!

It is nice - yes. I would guess late 50's or early 60's but I'm far from sure.

Do you think that it's possible that Exacta was a distributers/retail brand (e.g. Junghans) but the movement was made by swiss manufacturer? Would such distributers brand be included in the 'bible' you referred to?

a) it says SWISS both on dial and case
Luminosity is T SWISS T MADE
b) Quality is too high for Russian

I too have seen 'EXACTA' but this is SWISS

Mikrolisk mentions "SA Exacta / Ernest Strittmatter" of Neuchatel, Switzerland. This seems (to me) the most likely candidate ;-)
