Here's a little review for Divemaster EVO - yellow dial (45 mm version). I'd like to call this "The Emperor".

I based the monicker from the history of China wherein the Han Dynasty(the most influential dynasty in China's history) chose this color for their motif.
Knowing that the emperor was the pinnacle figure of that time, to me its the right name to represent this watch.
This is my first venture on watches larger than 42mm.
I got the 45mm version and I had to admit, if not for the lugs tapering down I might have considered it non-wearable for me. But this one fits right.
In line with that, I'm afraid that at the moment, I won't be able to get the other models such as PARMA, them being larger than 45mm.

Shape:
This watch has a bold, tall, no frills shape. It attracts attention, but being in a country (Philippines) where a large G-shock is being worn on a 6 inch wrist is a common thing, so far it only gets positive remarks.

Bezel:
The brush top and shiny dragon tail bezel adds significant dimensions to the watch's appearance. The bezel clicks and aligns perfectly with no play at all. The bezel requires a bit of force to rotate but it's really solid and secure from accidental rotations.

Dial/Indexes/Hands:
The decision to make the yellow not to be sunburst is a homerun. And I've seen other yellow dialed watches before but to me the tone of yellow on this watch is very pleasing to look at.
The indices and with how the lumed is applied are very good. This make me think of how serious the people behind aragon are when it comes to the quality of their product.
I can't think of other hand shape that would work with the shapes of the indices. The shiny borders of indices and hands compliments the brushed bezel top and plain yellow paint.
The watch that I got have hands that aligns perfectly. If the dragon logo has been placed instead of the name, that might be pretty cool.

Lume:
This is a bit subjective. Considering the marketing for this watch as a diver's watch, a better lume (brighter, and longer lasting) should be expected.
However, for me having a lume is already good enough. This doesn't beat the lume on my seikos but the lume on the hands at least beat the non-SE vostoks but for the indices, almost the same to me.
Who knows, maybe in the near future when the market for aragon watches grows, they might provide their watches with better lume.

Date complication:
The date complication appears properly on the window for each date and it starts to change at around 30 mins. before 12 and completes it 5 mins. before 12 midnight.

Band:
The band combines perfectly with the watch. Being solid stainless links adds to the weight but it also made the entire piece balanced. The clasp could still be improved though.

Timekeeping accuracy:
I haven't done a measurement of it yet, but it depends on the movement. I'm not sure if aragon also does calibration of the movement for each watch, if they do, then it's a big bonus for their clients.

All in all, I got a watch that can be considered way beyond the tag price I paid for it. I say good job to the design, and serious quality control.
It's really difficult to find fault on this watch, every detail are meticulously placed.

To all the manliest men and timekeepers of the house, Happy Father's day!

Thank you for the review. I like that watch very much. Some are put off by Aragon's dimensions, but it's hard to deny that they are handsome watches and reasonably priced.

I own an Aragon Horizon in dark green. It is the closest thing to a dress watch that Aragon manufactures, and I am very pleased with it. Also owned an Android (precursor to Aragon) that proved an excellent value and received compliments.

I think so too. But personally, sometimes it is refreshing to be outside the dogma of the right size of wristwatch. If I'm not mistaken, there was a time when people used to wear pocket watches as wristwatches. I'm imagining what's their initial reaction when they saw a smaller watch being worn. :-d

Thanks so much for this review. I love this watch (and this has been the color I've most strongly considered), and I've come close to pulling the trigger on it a couple of times. This review tempts me even more.

I've got a couple of watches for my business casual work rotation and a slew of G Shocks for roughing around on the weekend as far as my wear rotation goes, so I don't know when I'd wear this. Then again, I love pretty much every decision Wing made on the style here and love several of the colors. At the current awesome sale price, I might have to just jump in.
