Tissot v8. It's quartz, and also comes with a blue, silver or creme dial, with either a steel band or leather strap. I have it in silver and absolutely love it; thinking of getting it in black.

How about the Tissot PRS 516? Comes in quartz and automatic depending on price range, as well as having a chronograph option.

I've actually been thinking about grabbing a Casio Edifice SteelEQS-A500B-1AVCR as a quartz beater. It's about $250 on amazon, and is quite sharp for a sporty chrono:

It comes on an ugly rubber strap, but a third-party black-with-red-stitch strap would look pretty slick.

I grabbed that pic randomly online, but I think it might actually be from a member here who posted about the watch not too long ago.

If your taste runs towards the unique or avant garde then check out the "Ka La". Boutique brand out of Hawaii using eta 2824 movements.

A blog to watch did a review of the watch early this year. I was very tempted until I realized the lug-to-lug was too much for my comfort zone.

I would recommend spending a little time at the TAG Heuer and Ball Watch web sites. They have several models with black faces and red accents.
