Brand Rebranding Announcement

Introducing WM Watch, A Temporary Farewell to "Welly Merck"!

We are excited to announce the rebranding of our watch line from "Welly Merck" to "WM Watch". This transition marks a new chapter in our brand's evolution, focusing on delivering more original designs under the WM brand. We welcome your valuable suggestions.

Never heard of either name, so can’t really help with your research.

So many Microbrands, I can’t keep up with them all.

Until now, I hadn't recognized ”Welly Merck” as a watch manufacturer, and I guess the renaming to “WM Watch” won't change that – it's also the first time I've seen the well-recognized “W” logo…
What kind of watches do you actually make? The usual clones of Swiss originals?

We have changed the brand name to "WM Watch", it was previously called "Welly Merck". However, we have retained the well-recognized "W" logo.
Dude, I've known about you for years, I love your Dreamer chrono (see below) - why would you do that for? What possible competitive advantage do you guys plan to achieve with this pointless move? "Welly Merck" is mysterious yet evocative, the "Merck" part even adds a bit of an edge in the modern times of Big Pharma Conspiracy... but now it's just two letters, mute and stolid. If anything, it's your logo that could have done with a bit of sprucing up, now that you've brought it up. In short, sir, you're focusing on the wrong things, i.e. ones which I can't see contributing to your enterprise's future success.

And just to leave no doubt as to my actual fandom, all traces of the Dreamer seem to have vanished off the face of the Internet, but as a true fan, I've got a few pics saved on my hard drive:

I have also purchased some of their watches for my wife, probably 2018? on indiegogo or other crowdfunding sites.

I searched on Google using your image and I ended up getting this on some sites in China and on Amazon in Japan. But there doesn't seem to be any sales for the world at the moment

btw. the name change is maybecause a lot of people on ytb it's a terrible name... Looks like some sort of uk old boots and field medical supplies... The top like post was too overly harsh, I think overly harsh and snide comments without investigation can destroy some Microbrands

WM Watch sounds very generic and when you google it, you'll find a lot of stuff that isn't related to your brand at all. Welly Merck is far more distinct, memorable and not too bad as a brand name in my opinion, so I'm not so sure if the change you made was for the better..

I like your Hublot Big Bang style Planetary Series, by the way. :) What confuses me, though, is that it seems to have a central seconds hand and an additional small seconds sub dial(?).. Is that correct?

Well, I guess you'll never please everyone all the time!
Personally, I'd be happier if the watches just used the logo and had no brand name on the dial.

Here's one I'd buy if if was available with just the logo. Love the blue accents on the dial and seconds hand.

That is an attractive looking watch and I like the fully name on it. IMO, it helps to build the brand and name recognition.

Hello,

We have changed the brand name to "WM Watch", it was previously called "Welly Merck". However, we have retained the well-recognized "W" logo.
Do you like the new name? We welcome your thoughts and opinions.
WM sounds better but if one deep dives into what WM stands for, they will eventually find Welly Merck I guess. Hope this answered your question.

I've looked again, because I quite fancy your large moon Moonphase, despite it having 31 days per moon cycle. I could live with that. If it's likely to be rebranded as WM, or even unbranded on the dial, I will wait, as I think the current 6 o'clock text detracts from the watch.

I don't actually mind the Welly Merck on most of your watches to be honest.

Good luck.

That may be true, but life is not a pony farm where pink unicorns fart rainbows – and business life is certainly not.

That may be, but this is also a forum talking about man jewelry, where, at least in my opinion, the atmosphere should be as friendly and civil as possible…
