Casio A158 + Strap Options

Hello all.

Everyone should know the venerable A158 by now. Here's mine for reference:

Now I'm not a huge fan of the OE bracelet. I don't find it terribly comfortable, plus it can pull hair at times. My biggest concern is that it tapers down ALOT, toward the buckle (15-16mm).

Any suggestions as to a suitable alternative for the A158?

Milanese Mesh?
Perlon (would this look right on a digital)?
Dare I say Nato?
Or does it look best on the OE bracelet?

Thanks alot folks.

How about an original Casio rubber strap from one of the plastic variants?

I've seen them put on leather, NATO's and other straps but I see no reason why a Perlon wouldn't work

I have an a168 and I actually quite like the bracelet, which is lucky as its more awkward to fit a strap to due to the hooded lugs

For some reason I really like the cheap bracelet on the 158, even though it is a bit of a hair puller. On my F91w I've fitted a 22mm Nato with an 18mm waist cut into it with a hot knife so the strap reaches the shoulders. This colourway really works well with the F91. Something to work with the gold tone face of yours might work as well, maybe a two stripe black/beige, or a plain khaki.

I did a mock-up once, to see which basic digital casio would look good on a leather nato. I was planning to buy the b640wd OR the a158 back then (f105w i already own). Imho the a158 would look good on a leather nato. But i ended up buying the b640wd so i cant be really sure how it would look like irl.
