Hi, i was looking at a few casio diver today to .. satisphy that PMMM skx hole i have at the moment
not able to track one down, at a affordable price

-------------------------------

so i was looking at a few casio's
the famous
Casio MDV-106

to name one, i liked the overal style, but i was looking for something a little bit more eye candy
---------------------------------
but then i found
the casio
MTD1063BD

MTD-1061D-1AV

both models are really affordable
and... to me .. looks amazing, i'm really falling for the MTD-1061(second set)
i love everything about it, exept the bezel shape, i like the classyer bezel of the MDV-106 alot more

i was also hopping to wear it on a bracelet or leather strap, and would love to buy a good bracelet for it from strapcode or something, but I'm unsure i will be able to find one that fits o_O and look good
I cant even find the lugs size o_O

i was really hopping if anyone could give me more information about those models
or just your plain opinion :p

the MDV-106 seems to be really popular here on WUS-F71, but I havnt found Any information about the other 2

or maby i should just man up save up and buy myself a pmmm, I alrdy have a orange monster and love it

The mdv-106 is a really solid watch. It's got polished sides and bezel. A little too blingy-looking so I brushed the sides.
I've got the silver and the black models both.
The dials both have a nice sunburst effect.

i really like what you did (brushing )
i heard really good things about the mdv-106 quality wise, i'm just not 100% sure about the dial, i love the sunburst, the hands are decent, and the indices doesnt look in proportion...
But i have considered buying it several times all-ready...

It took me a minute to see the bezel difference you were referring to - My eye was drawn (in comparing the 106 to the 1061) to the markings on the bezels - which (to me) looks identical.

Have you considered this one?
i guess you are right, i'm probably being really picky, the bezel insert seems to be the same, but not the bezel, i don't know why i prefer the mdv-106 shape so much more

i think my point is, i am looking for a watch that can be dressed up a little
and i think the mdv-106 can be dressed up alot easyer the the mdv-1061... and i think it has to do whit the bezel edges
but i like the dial of the mdv-1061 alot more

that eddifice looks really good, but i'm not a fan of the bezel (again ) :( ... god i'm a hard man to please

They are all quartz watches.
The 106 is easy to dress up maybe with a leather strap or by keeping the polished sides. I brushed mine by taping off bezel insert and crystal, then just trying to maintain long smooth strokes with a scotch-brite pad.
My only quarrel with it is the low lume.
But I get plenty of people "eyeing" my black 106, it's a very impressive looking piece.

I have the MDV-106. Some people really, really dislike the stock bracelet. I don't mind it. But I guess it can be changed out for a nice Presidential or Oyster type.

I really can't speak of any of the watches you have listed but I will say that my Casio MDV-102 is one of my favorite watches.
It's also my cheapest watch!

I highly recommend picking one up if you can find one. Its good looks coupled with an LED light function make for a pretty unique and desirable watch.

*edit... my bad, looks like I might be preaching to the choir here. I don't hang out too much in this area so much so I wasn't aware that the MDV102 isn't much of a secret gem to the folks of f71.

I say save your money. If yoy buy a used skx 007 and have he mod done, I think the watch can be done in the sub $300 range.

Mine has a sapphire crystal with ar, black day/date wheel and skx171 and samurai to hands. All in all I spend about $300.
