Where did you find a crystal?

 

I got my crystal at crystaltimes. I don't see it on their website anymore though.

@Casualwatchguy did you ever succeed in finding dials and hands suited for the mdv106? I'd like to mod mine and already got a strap and sapphire crystal in the mail.

 

No I never did. Although I haven’t looked in awhile. Let me know if you find something.

If the MDV106 is with the Miyota 2115 module, just check for compatible parts. I think it has been produced in the beginning with a Casio module and then changed to Miyota.
I don't know if third party dials and hands are available for cheaper quartz movements like a basic Miyota or Ronda. I mean the whole new MDV106 watch was $40 when I bought mine 2-3 years ago. Don't get me wrong, they are good movements, but not exactly cult status among modding enthusiasts.
So I guess the hands would be the easier part, any watch with the same movement would be a suitable donor. The dial I don't know, you need to measure it and look for a dial that would fit both movement and case. Good luck!
