Hello,

Maybe this is a long shot but i thought id try.

Im wondering if any of you could point me in the right direction of what kind of quartz movement this is. And if there’s a replacement? Doesn’t have to be Certina brand or even swiss made.

The watch is a Certina Ds premium Alarm. Its my fathers, who’s in the hospital at the moment.
Its cheap and broken but it holds sentimental value.

Theres numbers on the back:
098.7034/7134.42

About a year or so ago i turned it in to get the battery swapped and the shop said the battery leaked (or something down that line). Never thought to ask what movement it was.

Im thankful for any info you could throw my way.

Thank you
Jon

Have you done a Google search for this model? Did the watch repair shop said they couldn’t work on it because it’s a battery leak issue? Whether or not you have a replacement movement you’d still have to pull out the old one and clean the interior of the case depending on how bad the leak is.

Thank you for responding.

Yes ive done some google searching. Didnt find alot of info on what movement it is. Neither what could work and fit as a replacement.

If i remember correctly they said that the movement had to be replaced due to leak of battery, or moisture in the electrics.
It wasnt as easy as just swapping the battery at least.
